I Could Be Anything – The Glitch Mob (REZZ Remix)

Friends, if you havent heard this one already get ready. REZZ just released her remix of The Glitch Mob‘s new track I Could Be Anything. The original (click <—– to listen) is beautifully done. They are always able to create such powerful songs with their trademark sound.

Cue REZZ. Right off the bat you know this has a different feel for it. REZZ is going to get us moving. Keeping it more mild than what we normally hear from the Alien Queen she is still able to make this her own combing her sound with The Glitch Mob’s. It works so well. Even The Glitch Mob notices it. Can they tour and play together please??? Imagine how INSANE THAT WOULD BE! Until then we have this amazing remix to hold us over. Enjoy Melomaniacs!

Lattice – Tipper

Dave Tipper stands out from the realm of electronic music in the sole fact that there is nobody else like him – he creates music so distinct and unique and he has arguably crafted his own genre[s]. Little did I know he’s released 12 albums and 14 LPs (of which 18 combined were released under his own label, Tippermusic) over the past 20 years, an impressive portfolio on all accounts.

I’ve listened to this song for a few weeks now and I can’t quite put my finger on how to describe it. It’s weird but organic and yet mildly discombobulated, and all of his music makes me think about outer space. Sometimes the audio stimulation a song provides is simply more than enough, and no explanation is necessary. Have a gander at his tunes on bandcamp and get lost in his musical ambience.

Dark Crystal – Minnesota

DarkCrystal-3000x3000Alright team huddle in. This is about to get intense. Minnesota is comin in big with this new track Dark Crystal. Dont be fooled by the groovy  opening. You will get lost in the movement, and then WHAMMY! Some heavy glitch gives you some sweet shin music and you’re doing backflips until you crash into your wall. A perfect imprint of your flailing body will always remind of that time Minnesota smashed the fuck out of you! Think it wont happen? Go ahead hit play, but dont get mad at me when your Mom’s favourite China is shattered on the ground.

Just when you think you are going in for another round what does Minnesota do? Does a 180 spin into some delicious drum n bass to ramp the energy level to an 11! This one will be out in full force in festival season next year, get ready to rage to this one!

Hot Jazz & Fire- Duke Skellington

O baby, he’s done it again, that swing and glitch combo that gets me in all the right places. From the old school sexy, suave swing sound to the heavy, head bangin’ glitchy bass goodness, this track will have you on the floor dancing in no time.

Duke Skellington, the man, legend and swing king. DJ and music producer in Future Swing, Swing House, Electro Swing, Swing, and Glitch. Duke not only produces music alone but is also apart of the group Alias “The Vaude Villainz”, which include DJ Skyler Gilmore and Professor Watson, that run an electro swing/ swing podcast called “Jitterbug Jukebox.” I am a huge fan of Duke Skellington, Jitterbug Jukebox and the electro swing world in general, if you haven’t already noticed. The fact that I can jam it with my Granny and Grandad dancing in the kitchen to a late night with my friends makes my heart so happy. If you are 6, 16, 65 or 85 you can’t help but enjoy he fusion of the infectious classic swing sound and the new age electro beat. It will put a smile on your face and get you up the dance floor before you even hear the first drop.  So whether your with a child, friend or grandparent, throw on this track, turn it up loud and cut some shapes!

Much Love!
