That Old Record ft. Heeni – Dj Ismail

Good morning fellow melomaniacs! Are you ready to get sucked in by the dreamy, delicious voice of Heeni, and taken to the land of beautiful brass and sexy sax?

I’m assuming you all said yes, so welcome to the track, That Old Record.  The song was originally an instrumental piece done by DJ Ismail, but when Heeni heard it she decided to add some lyrics and the perfect match was made!

Heeni aka Flip Giles has been singing since she was a child, growing up in London and following her dreams of being an opera singer, she was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music London when she was 19. She was then placed on the reserve list at Guildhall School of Music. Later Heeni moved to Bristol and started writing her own songs, collecting inspiration from her surroundings, past adventures, romances, family tragedy, and imagination. Since then she has played with a few bands ranging in genres from Ska, Reggae, Funk, Alternative, Indie and Jazz, singing and writing for each one of them. Most recently Heeni has decided to move back to London and has focused all her energy into new electronic collaborative Jazz Hip Hop and D&B projects.

This track gives that old school, sexy vibe that makes your body sway, fingers snap and sassy attitude come alive. It’s a song that can be played on repeat a couple of times and no one complains. So what are you waiting for… Hit play!!!

Mini Mix- Jenny Louca

Jenny Louca…Who are you? Where are you from? Why have I never heard your music before? And how do you only have 20 followers!?

Within the first few seconds of listening to this mix I was hooked. That electronic bluesy harmonica sound is just so sexy and infectious it had me feeling tingly and wanting more. From the classic tracks by Stevie Wonder and Red Hot Chilli Peppers to beats you may not have heard before, these tunes will keep you on your toes, whether your listening for whats next or on the floor dancing. The combination of funk and swing in my ears is like eating my favourite home cooked meal made by my mom. after travelling for months and that is the perfect description for this 14 minutes and 12 seconds you are about to listen to. Get your speakers turned up loud, booty ready to shake and have a time!

Much Love!

Hot Jazz & Fire- Duke Skellington

O baby, he’s done it again, that swing and glitch combo that gets me in all the right places. From the old school sexy, suave swing sound to the heavy, head bangin’ glitchy bass goodness, this track will have you on the floor dancing in no time.

Duke Skellington, the man, legend and swing king. DJ and music producer in Future Swing, Swing House, Electro Swing, Swing, and Glitch. Duke not only produces music alone but is also apart of the group Alias “The Vaude Villainz”, which include DJ Skyler Gilmore and Professor Watson, that run an electro swing/ swing podcast called “Jitterbug Jukebox.” I am a huge fan of Duke Skellington, Jitterbug Jukebox and the electro swing world in general, if you haven’t already noticed. The fact that I can jam it with my Granny and Grandad dancing in the kitchen to a late night with my friends makes my heart so happy. If you are 6, 16, 65 or 85 you can’t help but enjoy he fusion of the infectious classic swing sound and the new age electro beat. It will put a smile on your face and get you up the dance floor before you even hear the first drop.  So whether your with a child, friend or grandparent, throw on this track, turn it up loud and cut some shapes!

Much Love!

Say Something – The Funk Hunters feat. LINKS

Melos! The Funk Hunters have a fresh tune out of the oven and oh my is this one good! If you are not aware of The Funk Hunters they are from the West Coast with Westwood Recordings. As their name states they are bringers of the funk. Playing stages and festivals from all over the world, they are some of the best DJ’s at mixing different styles together in a way that creates an amazing fun vibe. If they are in your town be sure to see them!

With the help of LINKS on the vocals this jam hits you more in the feels than the funk. This is one of my favorite tracks from the duo. Keep it up Funk Hunters!!

I Feel Like I’m Drowning – Two Feet

Fresh off the press this epic New York artist (whoah – he is sexy, I never knew what he looked like) brings another bassline rich, sexy, soulful tune. Two Feet is definitely in the running for artist of the year in my books. My love for him all started with his attitude of being somewhat shocked at the reaction of the world to his first EP called First Steps. “Hey everyone! This is my first post and I’m mad excited to say I’ve officially signed an EP and Album record contract with Majestic Casual for my “Two Feet” Project. I’ve been following them for years and never imagined this would happen. I started the Two Feet project about two months ago and it blew up really quickly. Thank you all for your loving support 🙂 The music will be released for purchase shortly and I’ll have new stuff out soon I promise.” – Two feet on June 17th 2016.

The first tour he ever did started in March of this year – exploding onto the scene he finished off the season playing massive festivals such as Bonnaroo and Lightning in a Bottle. Enough of my praise about this artist I clearly love, listen to his freshly released track – I Feel Like I’m Drowning. This one has more vocals than usual, and a fun little snap to the beat which plays through the bass. Sit back and enjoy with a dose of snow.

Ps. He also just released the official video for his track Go Fuck Yourself, which I have included below. ❤

One Love – Whit
