Mini Mix- Jenny Louca

Jenny Louca…Who are you? Where are you from? Why have I never heard your music before? And how do you only have 20 followers!?

Within the first few seconds of listening to this mix I was hooked. That electronic bluesy harmonica sound is just so sexy and infectious it had me feeling tingly and wanting more. From the classic tracks by Stevie Wonder and Red Hot Chilli Peppers to beats you may not have heard before, these tunes will keep you on your toes, whether your listening for whats next or on the floor dancing. The combination of funk and swing in my ears is like eating my favourite home cooked meal made by my mom. after travelling for months and that is the perfect description for this 14 minutes and 12 seconds you are about to listen to. Get your speakers turned up loud, booty ready to shake and have a time!

Much Love!

Hot Jazz & Fire- Duke Skellington

O baby, he’s done it again, that swing and glitch combo that gets me in all the right places. From the old school sexy, suave swing sound to the heavy, head bangin’ glitchy bass goodness, this track will have you on the floor dancing in no time.

Duke Skellington, the man, legend and swing king. DJ and music producer in Future Swing, Swing House, Electro Swing, Swing, and Glitch. Duke not only produces music alone but is also apart of the group Alias “The Vaude Villainz”, which include DJ Skyler Gilmore and Professor Watson, that run an electro swing/ swing podcast called “Jitterbug Jukebox.” I am a huge fan of Duke Skellington, Jitterbug Jukebox and the electro swing world in general, if you haven’t already noticed. The fact that I can jam it with my Granny and Grandad dancing in the kitchen to a late night with my friends makes my heart so happy. If you are 6, 16, 65 or 85 you can’t help but enjoy he fusion of the infectious classic swing sound and the new age electro beat. It will put a smile on your face and get you up the dance floor before you even hear the first drop.  So whether your with a child, friend or grandparent, throw on this track, turn it up loud and cut some shapes!

Much Love!

Shadowbox Tour 2017- Beats Antique

Ladies and gentleman I have for you a unique, groovy, soulful pre made playlist for your listening pleasures. Beats Antique have created this collection of tracks they have collaborated with others on and music they have enjoyed over this past 2017 year. It is like no other playlist I have listened to. Zoe Jakes, David Satori, and Sidecar Tommy, this Oakland based group have made a genre of their own, forging a curious alliance between middle eastern traditions and potent west coast circus, underground hip hop, breakfast brass band, down tempo, glitch and dubstep.

If you are lucky enough to live in a city that this tour is coming to, first of all get your tickets, and second listen to this playlist as many times as you please to get amped up for the wicked soul filling experience you are about to be a part of. The first time I had the pleasure of being a part of a Beats Antique show I walked away feeling re charged and warm inside, exploding with all good vibes and so much love.

My favourite track off this playlist is Beats Antique- Let It All Go (feat. Preservation Hall Jazz Band). It’s crunchy, classy, and catchy with that swingy jazz vibe that is right up my alley.  Take a listen to this 31 tremendous track selection and choose your favourite!

Much Love

Bolder – Jamie Berry Feat. Georgia Thursting

This track was released for sale TODAY!! I’ve been waiting patiently – and may have had it written down in my calendar. Jamie Berry needs no introduction. However I am pleased to inform you this track is the first off an upcoming album “Frenzy” which is said to contain the classic electronic vibes mixed with a bit of reggae and the typical electro-swing tones. Looking forward to sipping some sangria in the sun with my babes this summer whilst being serenaded by this king of the swing.

As the days of my life progress, I can attest – I am a little bit bolder- which adds a whole other level of association and appreciation for this tune.

xx- Whit

Let’s Do It – The Fritz

Good morning to all the beauties reading this post. As I sit with my morning coffee and listen to this track I can’t help but feel sassy, sultry, and sophisticated all while having the urge to throwdown, getting low and grimy in the kitchen. Theodore Fritzgerald aka The Fritz is a DJ, producer, and sample based music enthusiast out of Falmouth, Cornwall. His releases can be found on Scour Records, Swingsetsounds, and Beatnik City.

I don’t know about you but I can’t help but imagine taking my man’s clothing off, piece by piece, teasing him until the beat drops and then throwing him to the ground and getting it on. If that doesn’t make you want to hit play I don’t know what will.
